Here is what is actually happening.

A Livewell mat is not one technology. It is four, sometimes five, working through the same surface while you lie still. This page explains each one in plain language, how to use the mat, and who should not.

A session, minute by minute

    You lie down and press start.The controller runs a timed session. Nothing to hold, nothing to adjust once it begins.
  2. 2
    The surface warms.Far infrared heat rises gently through the stone layer. Most people notice it first in the back and shoulders.
  3. 5
    The coils pulse.Low-frequency PEMF pulses cycle through the coils under the mat. You may feel nothing at all; that is normal.
  4. 20
    The session ends.The mat switches off. Most clients use it once a day, after training or before bed.

Unroll and plug in

The mat lies flat on any floor, bed or massage table. Plug in the controller and choose a heat level and a PEMF setting. Start low for the first week.

Lie down, press start

Light clothing or a cotton sheet between you and the stones is comfortable at higher heat. Remove metal jewellery and keep phones off the surface.

Twenty minutes, then off

The timer switches the session off. Consistency matters more than intensity: a short daily session beats a long occasional one.

What is inside the mat

Five layers, each doing a different job. Which ones you get depends on the model.

PEMF coils

Copper coils under the surface emit short, low-frequency electromagnetic pulses, then rest, then pulse again. This is the opposite of the constant field from a phone or router: controlled, timed, and off when the session ends. Six coils on Core, Kinetic and Resonance; eight on Synergy and Zenith. Intensity is adjustable up to 150 microtesla.

Far infrared warmth

Heating elements warm the stone layer, and the stones radiate that heat as far infrared: the same wavelength as sunlight on skin, without the light. It feels like a deep, even warmth rather than a hot pad. Heat is adjustable, and many clients run it low.

Red light LEDs

Small 660 nm red LEDs sit across the surface and switch on with the session. 660 nm is the visible red wavelength used in skin and recovery protocols. Counts range from 36 LEDs on Resonance to 144 on Synergy. For full-body red light from above, the Livewell 1500 panel pairs with any mat in the Fountain of Youth Protocols.

Gemstone and shungite layer

The surface you lie on is a bed of natural stones: amethyst, obsidian, tourmaline, jade and others depending on the model, from two varieties on Core to ten on Resonance. Every mat also includes a layer of shungite, a rare carbon mineral rich in fullerenes. The stones carry the far infrared warmth and give the mat its weight and feel.

Negative ions and EMF shielding

Synergy and Zenith add a negative ion emitter (above 3,500 ions per cubic centimetre on Synergy), the kind of air quality found near waterfalls and after rain. Every mat also carries filtration and shielding layers so the electronics inside stay low-EMF.

What we say, and what we do not

PEMF has been studied for decades, including by NASA, and specific PEMF devices are cleared in the US for specific medical uses. Livewell mats are not those devices. They are wellness products for daily use at home, and we describe them that way. What our clients tell us they use the mat for:

How it differs from what you may have tried

A heating padSurface heat only, one spot. The mat warms the whole body evenly through the stone layer and adds PEMF and red light.
